7月25日，BOB（Build on Bitcoin）宣布与零知识证明基础设施 RISCZero 达成合作，将通过集成 RISC Zero 推出的混合架构框架 Kailua，成为行业内首个使用零知识证明作为欺诈证明的 Rollup 项目。这将大大节省现有设置的时间和成本，并且可以将提现时间从通常的 7 天缩短至 1 小时。这是 BOB 在 L2beat 上实现 Rollup 第 1 阶段和第 2 阶段的关键一步。
据悉，Kailua 是 RISC Zero 使用其可验证计算层 Boundless 网络构建的 OP 堆栈扩展，这是一种可以将 Optimistic Rollup 升级为Hybrid ZK Rollup的混合架构（即Hybrid Rollup），它结合了Optimistic Rollups 和 ZK Rollup 的优势，致力于实现高效的区块链结算和争议解决。它通过默认采用 Optimistic Rollups 快速处理交易，并在出现争议或需要快速结算时启用 ZK 证明，从而试图兼顾了高吞叶量、低成本和高安全性。简单来说，它为现有的 Optimistic Rollup集成具有 ZK Rollup 优势的能力。
其中最重要的特征便是其可以在结算周期方面从原来7天挑战期缩短至最短1小时内完成，并且对于集成 Kailua 的 Optimistic Rollup 网络来说也无需担心 ZK 证明的持续生成成本因为它的实现方式是按需介入。
BOB 是首个使用零知识证明 (ZK) 的链。相比于提现速度慢且防欺诈机制昂贵的 Optimistic Rollup 以及运行成本高昂的 ZK Rollup，这种新方法兼具了两者的优势。
BOB 完美地结合了效率（与有效性 Rollup 相比，提交提案的成本更低）和安全性（在发生欺诈时能证明区块的正确性）。此外，ZK 证明比目前 Optimism 或 Ink 平台上的链上二分游戏成本低得多（不到 100 美元，而后者约为 100 万美元）。

任何人都能以低至 0.5 ETH 的保证金来挑战 BOB 序列器的提案，而无需像非零知识欺诈证明那样需要数百个 ETH。

在出现挑战的情况下，欺诈证明的结算在以太坊上只需一笔交易即可完成，因此在几分钟内即可最终确定，而非零知识版本则需要数小时或数天以及多次交易。

从长远来看，可以大幅缩短 BOB 的提现时间，因为链上欺诈解决方案快速且成本低廉。初期预计提现时间为 4 天，系统稳定后，可以将其缩短至几个小时。

工作原理：


Kailua 引入了其自主研发的全新防错博弈设计，为 Rollup 交易排序提供一流的安全保障。

BOB 将使用零知识证明 (ZK) 防欺诈证明，而非 Optimism 二分博弈中的多笔交易。

具体流程：



对于每个检查点，BOB 排序器（由 Conduit 运行）将针对特定高度提出一条新的规范链。

任何人都可以使用 Kailua 二进制文件提出另一个提案，对规范链提出异议。提出提案需要在 Layer1 上存入一笔以 ETH 为单位的保证金。初始设置为 0.5 ETH，这使得任何人都可以轻松挑战，并大幅降低无需许可验证的门槛。

当同一高度存在相互矛盾的提案时，挑战者或验证者（由 Conduit 运行）将生成一个零知识证明（使用 Boundless 算法），以解决规范链的问题。由于 BOB 的构造取决于 Layer1 上交易编码的顺序，因此只能存在一条有效链。错误的提案者或挑战者的保证金将被罚没。

BOB 联合创始人兼 BitVM Alliance 创始成员 Alexei Zamyatin 表示：“随着功能完备的证明系统的推出，BOB L2 将拥有完全的以太坊安全性。这意味着 BOB 仍将处于第 0 阶段的 L2 层，而大多数其他 L2 层将在 L2Beat 上移至其他类别。第 1 阶段的 Rollup 仅取决于安全委员会的启动，该委员会将在不久的将来宣布。第 2 阶段的 Rollup 只需向任何人开放提案流程即可。”
RISC Zero 团队认为，Kailua 将 Optimistic Rollup 升级为使用由 RISC Zero zkVM 驱动的零知识证明 (ZK Fault Proofs)。目前市场对 Rollup 解决方案的的选择不是 Optimistic Rollup，就是 ZK Rollup。由于成本低、吞吐量高，Optimistic Rollup 在当前市场占据主导地位，但需要 7 天的挑战窗口期，这会延迟最终确定性并限制互操作性。ZK Rollup 可以提供快速的最终确定性，但为每个区块生成 ZK 证明会产生大量额外成本，高吞吐量 Rollup 的成本可能高达数百万美元甚至更多。
现在第三种方式已在 BOB 上线，这就是由 RISC Zero 的 Kailua 架构提供支持的解决方案，它兼具了两种方式的优势：Optimistic ZK Rollup 既拥有 Optimistic Rollup 系统的低运营成本，又拥有 ZK Rollup 的快速最终确定性。
